Description Burnishing tools made from agate, a natural stone, that has been highly polished. These are used in the final stage of water gilding, to polish the gold leaf finish to a brilliant shine. They are not suitable for using with other gilding techniques (such as those using acrylic or oil gold size) as they will tear the gold leaf.
